Do you recognize this skyline ?

Well that would be Austin, Texas...and quite possibly our new home.
T has been striking out on finding a new job here to get him out of his current situation similar to govt. torture, and since Austin is a tech town, he is applying.
Now I know I have been going on and on about the Rollergirls, and that is their town - but that is not the reason for the move. We need to be happy as a unit, and I think that just maybe we are going to relocate if the offers come in way sweeter than they ever were here in Florida.

So many things have been going through my mind about how our lives will change if this happens. My only hope is that if it does, we will be happy and able to make friends easily where we go...otherwise I will have to join the derby just to get to know people. At this point I dont even think I'd be an alternate. But here and there I have been skating better and better ^_^.

I was going to have a rollerskating pic for you, but we forgot the camera.
I've begged my mom to come visit us soon to help plan the wedding, we shall see if we actually rush the marriage to get it completed before we move if that's a possibility.

It's like all of a sudden all the settled in plans I had in my head are discarded.
I can say this much:
*I didnt want to spend my entire life in Florida
*I was in Austin, and I loved what I saw of it
*This would be a big adventure for both of us
*This could be a chance that T will get the $ he deserves and if we decide to have kids, he would be in a better position for me to stay at home to take care of the baby personally
*i will miss my family, but I usually see them if I make the trek & florida tickets are cheap by plane LOL

I feel just as excited and intimidated as I did when I moved to tampa.
I think that if you visualize and accept large and risky changes, they more than likely happen.
It'd be nice to have seasons again.
Just even thinking this stuff makes me feel like tossing a ton of shit to Goodwill today was a step in the process of preparation.
I will be updating with any changes !

2.4 miles !

Tonight after work, T & I went to the park again, and I skated 2.4 miles !
Plus a little girl who was skating and I had a little "Rock On Sister" Moment.
She smiled, I smiled & gave her the roller skater thumbs up ^_^
It was awesome !
Also as luck would have it, T noticed that there were signs that warned of alligators in the pond there. Wouldn't you know I looked and saw the gator and then couldnt get my legs together and I fell. I could have been gator meat !! The alligator totally turned around towards the shore.

I feel awesome.

Here are some pics of the green thumb stuff on my back porch :)

This is a pineapple top I planted !! It makes a pretty plant I think, and the lizards outside seem to love doing their red throat mating dance on it
The large pot contains pink and yellow tulips I planted this winter... I hope they come soon !
The round planter next to it is a bunch of sweet basil.
Nothing is better than fresh basil.

Lastly, some mint plants, because mojito season is approaching...

The sweater is coming along, and I cant decide if I want roll sleeves, or ribbed edges.
Life is tough huh ?

Btw, Kneesocky, I love the shawl you made !!! I cant picture myself as one of those people either, but you make it sophisticated. ^_^

Hooray ! Friday is upon us !!!!

Damn it...
I wrote a whole wonderful post about how great it is to be a cranky bitch and how I have been walking and rollerskating plus how I found Lily on the counter eating our $10 a pound nutritional yeast, and blogger vomited it away...

More to come I swear.
& pics....
!@#$%%^

I've been tired, I've been tired...

Sometimes life is like a Pixies song.
So I took this past Friday off, and have been walking and kickboxing with the virtual trainer, and finally am seeing progress. 9 pounds down & I feel great. Was walking with Mr. T and we saw a girl on skates walking her dog.
I am ready.

Started watching Rollergirls for the 3rd time, and am secretly wanting to go try out their track next weekend. (they are holding a skate school on the banked track.)
Maybe I am delusional, but I want to be a part of that.

Back in the real world, T & I have made a conversion to a more vegan lifestyle.
I am not about to be one of those militant obnoxious people about not eating animals.
We are doing it to be healthy - not because animals are cute and we feel bad about eating them. I am proof that it works. Exercise many days a week, and eat your veggies.
You lose weight, the end.
I'm on a mission to be a strong woman, & I'm getting there.

Almost done with the skull sweater, just gotta pick up and finish the second sleeve. Will I beat spring's arrival ? I dunno about that yet.

Hope all is well out there in blogland.
Knittykat, show me your belly !!
